My entire life I’ve put police officers on a pedestal. There are many reasons why, but I suppose the most basic of these is that they put their lives at risk every day in order to keep their neighbors safe. When a police officer asked me to do something, Ialways trusted that they would only have asked if it was in the interests of furthering public safety and would always comply. I trusted the police and believed that an officer of the law would always do what’s right.
